Alexis is a producer, video editor and motion designer with 17 years of industry experience.
She combines her passion for art and storytelling with her eye for detail to tell powerful stories. She believes that using video as a vehicle to share powerful stories can not only inform, but heal and empower communities.
Story is the key element that spreads awareness, shares ideas and fosters connection across genre, industry and culture.
In everything I do, I hope to utililize visual storytelling as a means to bring people together over common goals and concerns.
When I started my business in 2011 my goal wasn't to run a business, but to shoot my own footage, make a fabulous reel, and become an in-house editor.
Fast forward thirteen years, I've since worked with businesses and professions that I didn't even realize existed in my early career years. I've entered into a community with other video professionals who support each other and I've had the priviledge of meeting and building relationships within my community in a profound way.
Through running my own business, I've had the opportuntiy to be part of every aspect of crafting a video and seen first hand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to producing impactful stories.
In 2020 I found myself drawn back to my beginnings and dove head first into motion design and animation. Though newer to this storytelling method as a professional, animation as a whole has been a large part of my growth as an artist and human. My goal is to continue growing as a professional motion designer and use this skill to tell some truly mind blowing stories in addition to my live action video methods.
In everything I do, I hope to utililize video storytelling as a means to bring people together over common goals and concerns. Chief among which, is our Mother Earth who is in constant need for advocates and communication on behalf of all life.
When I'm not running a business you can find me catching up on films, camping, hiking or making something with my hands. Knitting and baking are my go to home activities, but I'm also learning to sew and use plants and natural materials to dye fabrics. Truly, I love using my hands to craft, make a mess and learn.
I'm always open for book recommendations of all kinds, though I'm a fantasy nerd at heart. My favorite book is The Hobbit.
