Back in Business

Coming out of the pandemic hibernation with a BANG!

Have you ever sat down and really thought about your business? How it is serving you or not and whether or not you are getting joy from it the way you once did? Have you looked at your past goals and compared them to your current life? Sometimes they are just as you pictured them. Other times you have found a new path that is better than what you had imagined before. And then there are the paths that you find yourself on, where you were swept away with the current. Perhaps you weren’t steering your boat, so much as just making sure it kept moving forward.

In the case of the latter, you must take pause and really investigate what it is you want, look at what you have achieved and start to separate what you want to keep and what you want to thank and let go. The Marie Kondo method of life choices if you will.

Once you have let go of what you no longer want to continue pursuing, it is now up to you to determine what it is you would like to pursue. There are several methods you can use to go about this. Make lists of every job you ever thought sounded fun, write down things you love to do, meditate, take breaks for lots of self care, talk to people and be ready to walk through lots of open doors just to see what is on the other side.

This was what 2021 looked like for myself and so many others as we waded through the current state of the world from the pandemic, to politics, to the climate crisis all the way to plain old daily life, which is always ready with a few curve balls of its own.

After much thought and consideration, many late nights, days of doubt and moments of pure excitement I am happy to announce some changes to Alexis Keenan Video. What does it mean for you? More options for creativity and methods of engaging your customers, attracting attention to your brand and telling your story.

What’s new?

  • Motion Graphics and Animation
I’ve been wanting to move in this direction since the beginning of running my own business. But for one reason or another I always found myself either too busy to learn more or drowning in self doubt. In 2021 I took tons of classes through School of Motion and now feel confident and excited to work on projects that incorporate these elements. I have much more to learn and I can’t wait to use these new creative options on projects.

What does this mean for you? More options for creative expression of your brand, new ways to stand out in a crowd, and expanded methods for telling more complex hard to communicate ideas.
  • Video production teams
I love shooting video, using my camera to tell engaging stories never gets old. I also am able to meet wonderful people, learn a ton about how each unique brand operates and see new places. However, putting the story together in editing has always been my passion. By working with other videographers to shoot the video, I get to focus on creating better edits, adding more pizzaz and getting more eyes on a project.

What does this mean for you? Better video! Two heads are better than one. With another videographer, I can focus on the storytelling and making you feel your best on set. I may not always be there on set, but with multiple people working together, we can ensure that all our i’s and t’s are dotted and crossed. This allows us to ensure your story is told and portrayed in the absolute best way possible.

What isn’t changing:

  • Your goals fuel and inspire the videos we create.
  • Your needs are the priority in making an outstanding video.
  • We create content that you will be proud to share with your audience.
  • We keep it fun and professional.

May you have good fortune in navigating your business and life in this current post pandemic world. I’d love to hear from you if you have any questions, please reach out to me videostudio@alexiskeenan.com
